It’s the start of recruiting season here at UCLA Anderson and you can definitely see signs of it every time you walk by the Parker Career Center. Half of the first-year MBAs are wearing a suit any given day. They show up for their interviews several minutes early and line up in the waiting room like a row penguins. Interviews proceed quickly and efficiently, with each conversation having the potential to drastically change someone’s future. When people walk out of Parker they often exhibit “post interview face,” which is a strange combination of confusion, hope, and despair all warped into a single facial expression.
As a second-year student, whenever I reminisce about my interview experience, I’m always extremely grateful that I only had to go through it once. I was thinking of the best way to capture all the emotional ups and downs and decided to compile my Facebook posts during that timeframe. While it doesn’t show all of the swings (particularly the lows), I think I’ve memorialized the highlights. The best thing about going through MBA recruiting is being able to smile about it later on.
You actually make it seem so easy together with your presentation however I find this
matter to be really one thing which I believe I might never
understand. It sort of feels too complicated and very huge for me.
I am taking a look forward in your next post, I will try to get the cling of it!
This post truly made my day. Love the site and keep up the good work! Thank you!
